VATICAN CITY, JULY 6, 2009 (Zenit.org).- Benedict XVI has made various appointments to dicasteries of the Roman Curia.

It was announced Saturday that he appointed Bishop Giampaolo Crepaldi, secretary of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, as bishop of Trieste, Italy, giving him the "ad personam" title of archbishop.

The Holy Father also named four consultors to the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples: Archbishop Henryk Hoser of Warszawa-Praga, Poland; Bishop Paul Hinder, apostolic vicar of Arabia; Father Cataldo Zuccaro, rector of the Pontifical Urbanian University; and Father Heinz Wilhelm Steckling, superior-general of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate.

Finally, the Pontiff appointed Monsignor Juan Miguel Ferrer Grenesche, vicar general of the archdiocese of Toledo, Spain, as second undersecretary of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Sacraments.
