Vocations Forum in Lviv

Recently, a Vocations Forum, which was organized by the Patriarchal Commission in Matters of Youth, which is led by Father Yosyf Milyan, was held in Lviv. The year 2008 is the year of vocation. In every corner of the earth where our Church is, various events for youth are being conducted.

The forum lasted three days. Participants from every eparchy of the UGCC came to the place of destination for the meeting, after which began the develop ed program of planned events. Two communities from the Eparchy of Ivano-Frankivs'k visited the forum, Youth of the Incarnate Word and The Little Seed.

The first day young men and women after the Liturgy in the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God (Lviv-S y khiv) visited the city administration and spent time at city hall. The next step of the program was visit ing Holy Spirit Seminary, where the participants stay ed.

The second day started with prayer in the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God. A conference, which was divided in 3 sections, called "Christian vocation in the conditions of modern society," "Youth and the Church: The special time and place of realization of the Christian vocation," and "The role and place of citizen, politician, state-creator, and businessman, in the light of the Christian vocation," took place consequently. A discussion started right after e ach lecture.

After the discussion there was a presentation of commissions, monasteries, seminaries and other educational institutions.

At the end of the day took place a spiritual and artistic program.

On Sunday the departure of the participants started after the Divine Liturgy of thanksgiving.
