29-01-2010

MADRID, Spain, JAN. 28, 2010 (Zenit.org).- Some 20 members of the Young President's Organization, a network of the world's most successful young presidents and CEOs, could partner up with the Archdiocese of Madrid in the organization of World Youth Day.

The YPO in Spain told ZENIT that Cardinal Antonio Rouco Varela held a working dinner in Madrid this week with some 20 presidents of companies belonging to the network. He informed them of the development of World Youth Day and the possibility of collaboration with their companies.

World Youth Day is the most international and numerous event organized by the Catholic Church, which is presided over by the Pope himself. The next World Youth Day will take place Aug. 16-21, 2011, in Madrid.

The YPO stressed that this event "will imply a great salutary shock for the motivation and hope of thousands of young people from all over the world."

The Young Presidents' Organization is the largest business organization in the world, with 50 years of history, and over 17,000 business leaders from more than 100 countries.
