Tymoshenko: Pope Loves Ukraine and Knows What is Happening There

KYIV - According to UNIAN information agency, Ukraine's Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko stated on October 20, 2009, during a meeting with students and teachers of the National University of the Ostroh Academy, that Pope Benedict XVI considers Ukraine an integral part of Europe.
The prime minister noted that after communication with the pope, she understood that he loves Ukraine, is very well informed, and understands the situation in the country.
"The pope loves Ukraine and knows it better than even some politicians, especially, its history. He understands everything taking place in Ukraine-he understands in detail," said the prime minister.
Yulia Tymoshenko said that according to the pope, Western and Eastern Europe resemble two lungs in the continent's organism and without Ukraine one of the lungs simply cannot exist.
